Not that long. Programming is a bit weirder, but using HN it feels pretty much normal. You just have enter under your thumb now. Yes, I was getting worse and worse wrist pain. Completely cured. Even after mine broke about a year ago I'm only now starting to get a bit of stiffness (and will probably order a kinesis again). Mechanical switches are nicer. I haven't used the MS one enough to get used to it.
