Braced myself before reading this, but what a pleasant surprise!
> infinite number of closing parentheses
Nowadays, you can express it with finite parentheses using -> macros popularized by Clojure.
- yomly 10y agoThe thread macro is really a treat and allows for more expressive functional piping of data. A lot like dot chaining in your python/scala/rubys or cascading in Javascript - get a lot done with minimal boilerplate
- JBiserkov 10y agoClojure even has a .. macro which makes dot chaining even more readable - the resulting code has less dots and less parenthesis than the equivalent java/python/ruby/scala code!

- JBiserkov 10y agoReminds me of an old joke: CEO: Someone stole the last 50 megabytes of our main product's source code Programmer: The last megabytes you say? No worries, it's written in Lisp.
