Basically it discovers and creates all the sensors and everything automatically once you install it. It does a very good job. So the OOB experience is just better with PRTG (I am using the free edition with 100 sensor limit). I know Zabbix has auto discovery things, too, but PRTG is just better out of the box. However, because it requires Windows (bleh) I will be going back to Zabbix.
