  Their arrival of course gives rise to curiosity. They don't particularly hide in their little forts, so many of your fellow tribesmen start observing them, talking to them, or even attempt to trade with them. In time, you slowly notice that those weird customs of the new tribe aren't actually that strange. They seem to bring more wealth, to make life simpler and healthier, to make food tastier. Slowly you start adopting some of them and reap the benefits. Before long, you're assimilated and you don't feel bad about it. The Universal Culture doesn't win because it's aggressive. It wins because it's better, for various definitions of the word "better".
