So, ignore the will of the people until they change their minds?
- wtbob 10y agoHey, that's the EU way — note how the EU Constitution was rejected in referenda, then accepted as the Treaty of Lisbon. If the people don't agree, elect a new people!
- chrisbennet 10y agoMore like, let them vote on what they are actually getting vs. whatever they were told they would get. I frequently agree to things in principle but I still read the contract before I sign. It seems like brexit is a pretty big decision to make witout knowing exactly what you're agreeing to but hey, that's just me.
- Nursie 10y agoWe knew what we were actually getting if we stayed - more of the same. The details of leaving are yet to be decided, but we have voted to do it, so we will.
