Plastic bag use plummets in England since 5p charge
- f_allwein 10y agoGreat example of how simple legislation can make a difference. I have been using a reusable shopping bag for years and always found it ridiculous how supermarkets gave out free bags to everyone (which then ended up collecting dust at people's homes, since nobody ever reused them).
- EarthIsHome 10y agoI also use a reusable shopping bag or use my book bag to carry groceries. I do use plastic bags once a day to clean up my cat's litter. Does anyone have another idea or a good way of disposing cat litter without using plastic bags? Maybe I would just pay for a box of small plastic bags.
- elros 10y agoSomething I don't understand regarding the process of using reusable bags when buying groceries is, where do you actually get plastic bags to put your trash in before putting it away?
