Ask HN: Why does my router have two account with same name?

I've a ISP provided router. Today I was playing around with it. Tried to login the router via ssh.(admin/pass1) then I saw some shell commands. one of them is: ADSL Router#show login Username Password Priority admin pass1 2 user dump 0 admin pass2 1 I wonder why 'admin' has two passwords? I tried to 'ssh' with pass2. It worked too! Is that normal or something fishy going on here?
