Anyone who still considers it a black mark after that isn't worth working for. I have a 5-month stint at a huge company on my resume - one that a lot of people would really like to work for. It comes up sometimes in interviews, but I've got a good story behind it and usually come off as capable and ambitious after explaining it. If something raises a question, ask it. Don't just assume the worst of a candidate.
- chadgeidel 10y agoI agree. If a company isn't willing to give me the benefit of the doubt by asking, then maybe it's another place I'm not interested in working.
- mcphage 10y agoWhy would Jake even list it on his resume? He was there two weeks, it's not worth it.
