I see now that the patch was sponsored by Microsoft, but for a moment I thought that this was a new kind of HN text ad.
- sctb 10y agoWe updated the title from ”Sponsored by Microsoft – Improves userland disk I/O performance by 35% – 135%” which was editorialized.
- kerneis 10y agoFor those wondering what is going on, the original submission title started with "sponsored by Microsoft". It has since been edited.
- mikeash 10y agoThank you! I got here after the title change and was terribly confused.
