Do Yahoo employees really call themselves "Yahoos"?
- a_small_island 10y agoNo different than calling yourself a Googler.

- bitwize 10y agoWhich itself has silly variants, like Noogler gor new employees or Doogler for dogs. (Google is, explicitly, a dog company. Dogs are welcome at Google facilities. Cats are officially strongly deprecated.)
- Practicality 10y agoInteresting given the number of cat videos this "dog" company distributes. ;)
- RileyKyeden 10y agoThey're cats. They have to feel they're unwelcome before they want to be there.
- Practicality 10y agoAt one point they were yahooligans. I suppose that term fell out of favor at some point.
- pavel_lishin 10y agoI remember Yahoo having a kids' section, and the members being called Yahooligans.
- Practicality 10y agoThat probably put off the adults from wanting to be called that :)
- toast0 10y agoYes, when I was there (2004-2011), my job title was Technical Yahoo!, but nowadays they've lost the punctuation. The security team was called the Paranoids. Lots of little goofy names.
- racl101 10y agoAt Apple Steve just called everybody except for his key people 'idiot'.
