The issues with getting the normals to use your apps, is that the generally won't search your product, neither listen or read about it because they don't read blogs, techcrunch, etc... They end up using products when some friends tell them about it. You should focus on getting early adopters, without adding function that would fear normals. I think it makes sense. (I read that somewhere, but can't remember where - if someone had a link ? )
