- tzs 10y ago> Besides, the cold war is over, doncha know? Are you suggesting that because the cold war is over, Russia has no interest in trying to influence the policies of other countries? The US and EU have been imposing sanctions against Russia for quite a while now over that kerfuffle in Ukraine. There has also been quite a bit of tension over how to deal with Syria. Those are just two examples of areas where Russia could greatly benefit if it could influence opinion in the US.
