I don't see the surprise there. I'd wager most senior Google employees have around 50% comp in stock.
- arcanus 10y ago> most senior Google employees have around 50% comp in stock. Far more pervasive than that. A buddy of mine just took a typical sys-admin position at AAPL and is paid 50% stock/equity. Same with an MBA I know working at AMZN.
