Incremental Development (Chrome, FireFox, Opera) vs. Waterfall (IE, Safari)
- brudgers 10y agoThe graph conflates Edge and Internet Explorer which are significantly different browsers from the same company. Everything I've seen indicates that currently Microsoft does not develop on a waterfall model. My suspicion about the less frequent releases of Edge versus Chromium/Chrome is driven by business requirements around stability and backward compatibility. Google and Mozilla and Opera don't have such obligation to a similar degree.
