Tesla will be offering automation for (presumably) less money in 2021. I don't think Apple can afford to not have automation, nor do I think they could offer something appealing enough to overcome not having automation. If Tesla can create automation in a short amount of time, I have no doubt that a massive computer company filled with smart software engineers and a maps group can do it.
