I don't disagree with these warm and fuzzy environments for kids to learn, but that existed when I was a kid - logo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo_(programming_language) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logo_(programming_language) - and I thought it was a joke. It was demotivating and condescending rather than encouraging. I have a 18 month old, and I don't know the answer yet, but got to figure it out soon...
