The law is not good, but the court's ruling seems correct and following the law. The law says, "Unauthorized access to computer systems is a crime." Facebook sent them a cease-and-desist letter saying not to access their system anymore. The court agreed that at that point, they were no longer authorized to access the system, and that they knew they were not authorized. So unless the law is unconstitutional, them the only way to solve the problem is by getting congress to change the law. Maybe that sucks but welcome to America.
