Looks like Medium was built to flout HN's dupe-detection :/
- CarolineW 10y agoHN's dupe detection is currently substantially broken. The rules have been relaxed to help reduce the problem of excellent articles falling through the cracks, but the problem now is that there are multiple submissions of the same story, and regularly the discussions are split across them. I believe the mods are actively working on it, but the current situation is really poor.
- gus_massa 10y agoMedium is specially bad, because it ads a random tracking crap at the end of the URL that confuses the dupe detector.
