You apparently don't realize watching TV is not an act of creating derivative content, which is the stated goal of the device. You only have to pay for it once when you're consuming, you have to pay for it in a different way if the intent is to allow someone else to consume a variation of what you've paid for. That's how copyright works. Questions?
