Consider seeing a trained counselor to talk through this. I am not a trained counselor, but: It doesn't really matter if the policies are legal or ethical. If you feel ashamed of your work most days, that's not a good situation, and you should probably look around for another job. You should also consider that "behind every great fortune there lies a great crime". Pretty sure there is some work you can do which you would not be ashamed by, but it may take some extra effort / screening to find it.
