Bootstrapping a Lean Startup
- aymeric 17y agoI am getting a "Error establishing a database connection"
- deleted 17y ago[deleted]
- hkuo 17y agoJust curious. Do you actually know that this site is hosted on Rackspace, and if so, how are you able to find out? btw, I've had my own poor experiences with Media Temples grid service and won't be using any cloud services again for quite a while.
- 1331 17y agoAccording to http://www.whoishostingthis.com http://www.whoishostingthis.com the site is hosted by ServerBeach, not RackSpace.
- hkuo 17y agoWow thanks! This is a very cool tool. I've always been curious to know who hosts some of the sites I visit. I see myself using this pretty often.
- pxlpshr 17y agoI deserve to eat my foot then. However, my comment is still largely true. Today our site was down with the same exact error, and it was down a few days ago. Every other day with little communication about what they are really doing to fix it.
- angkec 17y agoseems like the database can't bootstrap itself.
- ryanelkins 17y agoAmazing how this makes it to the front page when no one can apparently even read the article due to a database issue.
- TorKlingberg 17y agoThis Coral Cache link actually works: http://www.ashmaurya.com.nyud.net/2010/03/bootstrapping-a-lean-startup/ http://www.ashmaurya.com.nyud.net/2010/03/bootstrapping-a-le...
- bigsassy 17y agoYeah, sorry about that. It was up when I first posted it. It seems to be back up now as well.
- 1331 17y agoHere is a coral cache link: http://www.ashmaurya.com.nyud.net/2010/03/bootstrapping-a-lean-startup/ http://www.ashmaurya.com.nyud.net/2010/03/bootstrapping-a-le...
- ashmaurya 17y agoSorry about the database error earlier... Yes the blog is running on a server beach hosted server using apache + wordpress. Today was the first time it ran into load issues which I guess is a good problem to have. In either event, I've addressed the issue for now but will be looking into some longer term tweaks. Thanks.
