In my high school we had "late" days once or twice a month, where the school day started about an hour later than usual. Also, seniors could schedule their classes so that they could either be done for the day an hour early or show up an hour late. Years later, I still remember the euphoria of waking up at 7 only to realize I had an extra hour to sleep.
