Can anyone tell me why this article got flagged on HN????

• baby 10y ago
all articles about the terrorist attack in France the other day got flagged as well. Probably for the same reasons?

This is relevant for HN as it involves the attempted crackdown on individuals using technology to communicate. Especially when it involves a channel that doesn't go through a government gatekeeper.

That argument is tenuous, because the thread inevitably turned into just another generic political thread about Turkey.

Sadly yes but it hadn't I think when I originally posted...
• gpvos 10y ago
I guess some people found it too political.

Note: users with enough karma (like myself) can click "vouch" on flagged posts. My guess is if enough users do this, that will unkill it (like it did now).
  • _asummers 10y ago
What's that karma threshhold, if you know offhand?
    • jstalin 10y ago
Must be quite a bit. I have 3700+ and still can't vouch.
      • x1798DE 10y ago
GP only has around 2000 karma, so assuming he's not mistaken about being able to vouch, maybe you haven't been in a situation where vouching was necessary?
      • brianchu 10y ago
It has to be [flagged]/dead to vouch.
• awqrre 10y ago
a second ago it was flagged AND dead... but both flags are gone now
