The problem I find with earning more money than cutting costs, is that without realising it, my costs seem to creep upwards too. I find it's hard to plan for the future by saving money when this happens.
- wj 10y agoI'm definitely a bit biased as I'm working on a startup for financial planning but I agree with you completely. Many people are not going to make big progress towards their longer term financial goals (getting out of debt, buying house, putting kids through college) without sitting down and creating a budget. "You can't change what you don't measure."
