Out of interest - and I'd really like you to answer honestly although obviously I have no way of knowing if you don't - have you read the article, or are you simply responding to the title?
- dozzie 10y agoOnly responding to the title. Such titles annoy me, and I happen to have this bad habit of complaining in such cases.
- CarolineW 10y agoThank you for your honest answer. The article has a discussion that is good, careful, nuanced, and quite complete. It also has lots of links to related discussions, including talking about why - although this specific claim is "obvious nonsense" - there is actually some sense underneath it, although deeper than most people ever go. If you're going to complain you should probably have an opinion on how to improve it. What title would you give such an article?
- dozzie 10y agoI would have an opinion if I read the article, which I do not intent at the moment (I find my own code more interesting than mathematical concepts I have no use for).
