honestly a lot of the frustration and arguments in my home do stem from the cats being obnoxious in some way. they are little assholes.

- ianai 10y agoPeople who don't take the time to know their cats write cats off as being jerks. They're pretty complicated and self reliant little buggers. Whereas dogs need to be walked and taken outside for potty and so-on; cats need play time every day but also their own space.
- grillvogel 10y agotrust me they get plenty of attention, thats probably why they are jerks because they just get even more needy.
- torkable 10y agoYea cats are so easy. You just gota clean up their shit, feed em, pick any plants you own up off the floor every day, replace any breakables that you may have left sitting on a table, despose of the dead animals they gift to you, clean cat hair off everything or wallow in it, wake up in the middle of the night to witness is bolting in every direction around the house or incessantly meowing under your door for no reason, take it to the vet after it gets its own ass kicked by another cat..... its just so easy!
- TylerE 10y agoI've never understood why cat people see the poo thing as an ADVANTAGE for cats. I want the fecal matter OUTSIDE my house TYVM.
- xirdstl 10y agoIt's hard to believe you cannot understand their perspective. You might disagree with it, but it's not hard to comprehend. Let's not turn this into a dogs vs. cats thread.
- BEEdwards 10y agoIndoor/Outdoor cats are the best of both worlds. They poo outside and cuddle with you when they sleep.
- ianai 10y agoTo clarify, I just meant that as two differentiating aspects of dogs and cats. If you're not ready to take care of your pet's needs then don't have a pet, dog or cat. Also, dogs definitely need playtime too. But dog play is different (in my experience) than cat play.
- trhway 10y ago>I want the fecal matter OUTSIDE my house TYVM. i guess you built an outhouse for yourself?
- abritinthebay 10y agoDo you never flush? That takes it cleanly out at the time. Cats would be like you just letting it build up in a box in the corner of the bathroom for a few days...
- true_religion 10y agoWell, you can get a 'cat toilet'. A lot of them are pretty terrible, but once you get around the mid-range price of 300-400, they mostly have all the kinks worked out, and you can install it to connect to sewage like a normal toilet. The one downside is that pretty much all of them use plastic beads as the litter, and sanitize with heat. This means if anything malfuctions, then you get the smell of burning fecla matter and plastic.
- trhway 10y agoFew days? You're kidding. Pickup and flush immediately like with your own.
- abritinthebay 10y agoGiven most cat owners I've met... that's optimistic. That's why many seem to go with those automated ones it would appear.

- Brandanna 10y agoIt pays to toilet train a cat. Just don't teach them to flush, lest your water bill skyrockets.
