Can we have a moratorium on Pokemon Go posts? It is getting really annoying, especially since submissions regarding it have absolutely no value.

- mynewtb 10y agoFlag and hide is the way to go.
- alexhawdon 10y ago"Please don't submit comments complaining that a submission is inappropriate for the site. If you think a story is spam or off-topic, flag it by clicking on its 'flag' link. If you think a comment is egregious, click on its timestamp to go to its page, then click 'flag' at the top. (Not all users see flag links; there's a small karma threshold.)" Just hide if you're not personally interested. IMO flagging that would be an abuse of the facility and just wasting moderator time.
- calsy 10y agoWhy? Pokemon Go is the most talked about topic in tech at the moment. Considering this a tech news site, it would seem more than appropriate to show this content.
- Grue3 10y agoIt's only "talked about" because a commercial company behind it wants it to be talked about. Why do you think all these articles are popping up?
- stepanhruda 10y agoIt's talked about because people wanna hear about it. If the articles had no hits, they wouldn't bother publishing them.

- knowaveragejoe 10y agoThese articles are pretty far from the ones describe in PG's post.
- mason240 10y agoI guess the dozens of people talking about in my social media feeds are all corporate plants. Who knew!
- adamors 10y agoThat's a stretch. This is like any other HN fad, like the 2048 variants, javascript frameworks etc.
