It's going to be interesting to see if the Supreme Court finds that the Constitution allows the Federal government to force people to buy health insurance. With a 4 liberal, 4 conservative, and 1 swing vote split, they could go either way.
One thing's for sure, this bill will be challenged.
- btilly 17y agoThe court is not all about politics. The whole thing is about regulating a commercial transaction (buying health insurance) and taxes (aka fees). Both are areas that there is a lot of precedent saying that Congress is within its rights.
