That's meaning of "professionalism" at the end, right? Good Experienced Professional Engineer also understands real life compromises. For him/her it is not that hard to make initial architectural decision that allows to implement something fast but has a foundation for future expansion. Usually it takes about couple of days for the person that "been there, seen that" to make good architectural decision. Startups: "We are not so rich to buy cheap things". Well, at least CTO / architect.
