While I'm in favor of UBI (though preferably after smaller-scale experiments and careful study), this survey of economists about one version of UBI did give me

  Small scale experiments are useless in the case of UBI, because introduction of UBI in small scale will not trigger inflation. So small scale experiments are gonna to show that UBI works well, without negative inflationary consequences, but full scale introduction will be a disaster.
