I'm using 'modern' here in two ways:
- in reference to Mozilla's "Modern TLS" profile: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security/Server_Side_TLS#Modern_compatibility https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security/Server_Side_TLS#Modern_com...
- as an antonym for the unlimited backwards-compatibility, kitchen-sink-comprehensive approach of (say) OpenSSL or NSS.
