Perhaps there really weren't 3 other qualified offers?
- throwaway_exer 10y agoIf the house was in move-in condition, then yes, there were other offers guaranteed. And walking away from a house you like just means another bidding war tomorrow.
- scurvy 10y agoThere was at least 1 other. One of the non-winning parties later bought another unit in my building and came by to chat. We had some wine, and they told me what their offer was. It was only $3k less than ours. In vino, veritas.
