Here's the bug request: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=602985 https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=602985 Interestingly, HLS works fine on Chrome for Android.

It's really not at least on Apple's side, Chrome has a long standing bug and they refuse to fix the issue, even though HLS is a Open Standard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Live_Streaming https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Live_Streaming
