I would love to see the court system get more money. In particular, I think every defendant found not guilty should have their legal bill payed by the prosecutor's office. The money for the defense should be put into escrow at the time charges are filed. It would encourage prosecutors not to draw things out.
- emodendroket 10y agoThe public defender system is woefully underfunded in many places too. So yeah, I'm all in favor, but we do need to consider the consequences.
