Right ... that's what we should be worried about here, trigger happy BLM advocates. The cops are a bigger issue and the Black Live's Matter movement is serving a purpose calling to attention these unjustifiable murders.
In the late 60s, J Edgar Hoover tried to eradicate the Black Power movement with COINTELPRO but ended up doing more dirt and using more shady tactics than the Black Power movement could have ever been capable of. The Black Power movement was initially a non-violent political party under the aegis of Stokely Carmichael in the south. It did not acquire its "criminal" (I put that quotes) element up until the party found its way into Oakland, and by then Carmichael had washed his hands clean of the party (he was actually deported from the US and had to go live in Ghana). Basically, like BLM now, it was way too fragmented a movement to have posed a real threat to society at large. So the suppression tactics used by the FBI were massively overkill and unjustifiable given the context.
So if there's anything we should be talking about right now it should be Alton Sterling and Philando Castile's murders. Cops can take care of themselves - young black males ... ? Not so much.
