My family member and his family leaved the country with money from my family overseas. All his possessions were stolen by Castro. The people in power should not have the power to easily confiscate your wealth. Today with negative interest rates, those in power are stealing from the people, but only a little. Central banks want to ban cash so they can steal 20 to 30 per cent of every single deposit as the system is totally bankrupted. With physical cash, gold confiscation, they have a harder time. Some people will not be happy to give the police their hard earned money.
