I don't know your use case. Maybe you have a fixed desk. I use my laptop at home office and office. The smaller cable dies. Maybe it's my usage or you are extra careful when you use it. I'm not the only one. Regularly I have friends asking for chargers on Facebook. I also mentioned the case at Apple store and the specialist agree with me that they are fragile.
