  It's sad that neither the Independent, nor the HN posters who have posted this 3 times, bothered to do any basic fact checking. Neither of these 2 guys are even real scientists. (And yes I know it's certainly possible for someone who doesn't have a phd to come up with something novel and intellectually sound. However you do need to do some basic sanity checking to make sure it's not complete BS, which is what this appears to be).
