Apache server. I know it is not a hip choice, but I've used it for more than 15 years to serve static and dynamic websites. I've changed tech stacks from perl to php to python used different data bases and Apache always just worked.
- mwpmaybe 10y agoI was in this camp for a long time until I tried to get mod_deflate and mod_socache_memcache to play nice together and the wheels came off. Moved to Varnish (fronted by HAproxy) and could not be happier!
- noir_lord 10y agoSame and I've used it for a similar period, I look at alternatives but since apache has never let me down, is ridiculously stable and I know it well I've simply never seen a reason to leave.
