In the 'new system', the government gives basic income to labor, which pays taxes back to the government. It's probably likely that more goes out via basic income than comes in via income taxes, so one has to wonder: do income taxes really make sense in this model?
- lmm 10y agoThey do, because successful individuals in this future have very high incomes.
- tonyedgecombe 10y agoWhen business can shift profits around the world the biggest change we need to make is to shift away from corporation tax, probably towards more land, purchase and income tax.
