Oh anecdotes. Use Bluetooth home spekaers, headphones and car radio all the time against my iPhone 6S - works really well. What I do though is manually connect when I want this particular device to be connected (say my headphones in the gym), and then disconnect after use. Might be magic trick most are missing.
