You joke, but that is a great idea. IBMs Watson was helpful to doctors by being able to reference huge amounts of medical literature. Basically a domain specific natural language search engine. I've read about similar software for lawyers searching for relevant laws and cases. The AI doesn't need to be so good it can replace the doctor/engineer/lawyer. It just needs to be a helpful tool for finding relevant documents. NLP and QA is just starting to get good and available to the public, so I think this will be a big thing soon.
