This is the first time I've heard of the N+1 query problem. I went and looked into my code and found 2 places where I had applied it, and have now measurably improved the performance of those pages. (Alas, if only I had enough traffic for it to make a real difference.) You really learn something new every day if you're observant. Thanks!
