That's not an inherent problem with GNU/Linux. Shows up fine for me because I have "ttf-ancient-scripts" (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ttf-ancient-fonts/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ttf-ancient-fonts/) installed.
