- criddell 10y agoWhen you are very rich, the difference between $400k and $40k isn't noticeable.
- fsloth 10y agoIs this from experience? Most wealthy people I know are also the most cost sensitive.
- criddell 10y agoEverything I know, I learned on Tumblr. http://richkidsofinstagram.tumblr.com/ http://richkidsofinstagram.tumblr.com/
- marssaxman 10y agoSince most of us are not and never will be very rich, the fact that a not-rich person can buy and ride a motorcycle which will easily smoke the pants off any car but the sort of supercar only a very rich person could buy is, in fact, noticeable.
- brobinson 10y agoWhich bike are you looking at? The 1299 Panigale S is $25,500. The Superleggerra 1199 (only 500 made) was 70k+.
- zachrose 10y agoI don't know how we got to talking about this, but Honda makes a road legal MotoGP replica* bike for $184k. *Minus the pneumatic valves and probably a few other things.
- brobinson 10y agoOh, I was specifically asking about Ducati since that's what was mentioned. The replica bike you mentioned is a huge disappointment for one reason: "Europe and Australia are offered a 160 hp version, the American market gets roughly 100 hp and in Japan, it's an even paltrier 70 hp." Unless you live in Europe, you have to spend another $10,000+ to get it back up to spec. I'd rather get a Desmosedici, I think.
- Florin_Andrei 10y agoThat thing, unrestrained electronically, could probably make 100 HP with one cylinder dead and a corn cob plugged in the exhaust pipe.
- Florin_Andrei 10y agoAnd most of the "regular" sportbikes are under $20k. For the price of a Honda Civic you get the performance of a supercar - plus the experience of riding cage-free, which in itself is pretty awesome.
