- dang 10y agoThis comment is interesting because it makes the dynamic of such comments so clear: you assume something disgusting, and then are disgusted by it. That is a self-referential activity! In reality the above moderation was routine to the point of plodding, as anyone can easily determine by reading back through https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=dang https://news.ycombinator.com/threads?id=dang (a boring procedure I do not recommend). As for bosses: we downweighted Sam's Trump article just as we would have if it had been written by anyone else.
