Stop thinking so highly of yourself. There is nothing humiliating about them. If you get feeling of humiliation from someone watching you work, then you are going to have a bad time working in a team.
- palerdot 10y agoThe original comment exactly describes the problem with the whiteboard situations. Maybe you are an extrovert and can just say something on and on when the interviewer prods you with nitpicking details that does not matter in a whiteboard. But, for others like an introvert, the whole process is like dancing in a circus in front of the people (with each one of them asking you do something at the sametime).
- AnimalMuppet 10y agoLook, I'm an introvert. I despise being treated as a performing seal. I also have no problem with a whiteboard interview. Yes, I'm being made to jump through hoops, but I understand why. It's not just to make me jump through hoops. (If I pick up the vibe that it is just for that, then I don't want the job.) It's so that they can see how I think. But maybe my saving grace here is that I don't fear pressure in that kind of situation...

I'm introverted as fuck, but I realize that this is part of interview process and if you act like a self centered cunt, who isn't willing to do a simple task like writing little code on a board, you aren't worth the effort for most projects.
