Why is this a bad thing? Isn't the goal of globalization to start thinking of our planet as a whole?

- VLM 10y agoShould Saudi Arabia have a voice equal to, or maybe superior to Massachusetts WRT gay rights or feminism?

- selectron 10y agoAs an American, I care much more about the fate of America than I do about the fate of Europe. People are tribal animals.
- Everhusk 10y agoPerhaps, or maybe people were* tribal animals, just as they were once cavemen. Globalization progresses mankind forward, it will ultimately make us better versions of ourselves. The root of Trump's evil is trying to reverse this progress by locking down borders and rejecting religions that are not the norm in America.
- thescribe 10y agoAt this point I think I'd vote for a particularly shiny rock if that rock was a running on a platform of a reversal of globalization.
