I'd be more interested in that as well, but I wouldn' call this "bullshit." I enjoy it for the same reason I enjoy reading and rereading Max Ehrmann's Desiderata, Rudyard Kipling's If--, etc. Truisms blindly followed are not worth much, but the reevaluation of truisms in the context of your experiences can be very worthwhile.
