There apparently is no visible sign of progress on the Nicaraguan canal project from people in the country (government even).
I doubt it will ever get built, unless the Chinese market goes bananas and they feel its worth financing this.
- walrus01 10y agoConsidering that the billionaire investor behind it has zero track record of implementing massive construction projects (on the scale of Samsung working as a prime contractor for the Burj Khalifa, for example), I'm very suspicious that it's anything other than vaporware...
